NetEase Develops In-game Voice Chat Tool

NetEase's (Nasdaq:NTES) Hangzhou Institute has developed an in-game voice instant messaging tool "NetEase CC" for use in its MMORPGs, the company's portal 163.com reported November 4. A director of the project said client-end software for the voice tool will be offered free-of-charge permanently and that an in-game version of the tool will be available in NetEase's in-house developed 3D MMORPG Tian Xia Er ("TX2") after updates released on November 4. |

Sohu's (Nasdaq:SOHU) search engine Sogou has released a cloud computing-based Sogou Pinyin Input Method Editor (IME) on November 2, cnbeta.com reports. Sogou claims the IME offers improved vocabulary and can be used with operating systems including Microsoft's (Nasdaq:MSFT) "Windows," "Linux", Google's (Nasdaq:GOOG) "Android" and Apple's (Nasdaq:AAPL) "iPhone OS", and with browsers including Microsoft "Internet Explorer," Mozilla's "Firefox", and Sogou's own browser, said the report. |
