The Shanghai Composite Index retreated 1.24% to close at 3,013.41, while the Shenzhen Composite Index fell 1.38% to end at 1,147.44 on Friday, March 12. Trading volumes on the Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Exchanges were RMB 84.35 billion and RMB 68.93 billion, respectively.

The Shanghai Composite Index dropped 1.09% to close at 3,094.41, while the Shenzhen Composite Index decreased 1.15% to close at 1,148.49 on January 25. Trading volume on the Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Exchanges was RMB 95.15 billion and RMB 58.66 billion, respectively.

The ten biggest-cap stocks on mainland markets all fell today, with China Unicom (NYSE:CHU, 0762.HK, 600050.SH) down 3.71%, Air China (0753.HK, 601111.SH) 3.64% lower and Shanghai Baosteel Group Corporation (600019.SH) sliding 2.29%.
