Home appliances and electronics retailer Gome (0493.HK) has put in orders with home appliances manufacturers for RMB 30 billion worth of goods in preparation for the Mid-Autumn Festival (at the end of September this year) and the early October National Day holidays, qq.com reports.

Gome recorded revenues of RMB 24.87 billion in the first half of this year, increasing 21.55% on an annual basis.

Home appliances and electronics retailer Gome (0493.HK) announced plans to take legal action against company founder and former Chairman Wong Kwong Yu (Huang Guangyu) to claim for damages for breaches of fiduciary duties and trust during his tenure on the board of directors, in a statement filed with the Hong Kong Exchange on August 6.

Wong was sentenced to 14 years in prison and fined RMB 600 million for insider trading, bribery and other illegal business dealings in May this year...
