Unicom Announces October 2G, 3G Data

China Unicom (NYSE:CHU, 0762.HK, 600050.SH) added 801,000 2G users in October to reach a total of 143.6 million 2G subscribers, the company announced on November 19. Unicom's 3G users totaled 1.02 million, including 215,000 3G data card subscribers, in October.

The company gained 539,000 broadband users to reach 38.01 million during the month, while fixed-line users fell by 947,000 to 106.18 million.
