Lenovo Posts $53m Profits
Lenovo (0992.HK) made a net profit of $53.082 million in the quarter ended September 30, 2009, compared with profit of $23.44 million in the same period a year ago, the company announced November 5. The company generated sales of $4.1 billion in the three month period, compared with $4.33 billion a year ago. Lenovo said it saw PC unit shipments in the quarter grow approximately 17 percent year-on-year.
The company announced in October that it expected to return to a bottom line in the black in the three months between July and September after three consecutive quarters of net losses.
