H-Shares Dip, Airlines Remain Aloft

The Hang Seng Index dropped 0.63% to close at 21,479.08 on November 5, in main board trading volume of HK$60.77 billion.

Shares of China Eastern Airlines (0670.HK) grew 5.7%, Air China (0753.HK) rose 4.2% and China Southern Airlines (1055.HK) expanded 2.7%.

Shares of real estate companies ended lower, with China Resources Land (1109.HK) dropping 2.7% and China Overseas Land & Investment (0688.HK) falling 1.1%. Guangzhou-based Evergrande Real Estate Group (3333.HK) closed higher after its first day of trading, at HK$ 4.7.

Shares of TCL Multimedia Technology Holdings (1070.HK) soared 11.2% and Skyworth Digital Holdings (0751.HK) up 7.0%, while BYD Company (1211.HK) fell 1.1%.
