Tesco (LSE:TSCO) opened a new store in Xiamen November 3, marking its entrance into the southeastern Fujian province, topretailing.com reports. The 20,000-square-meter store will carry around 20,000 products and is built to the company's energy saving standards, according to the report.

Reports in September said Tesco had 66 stores in China, including 19 in Shanghai.
