Telecos Base Sensor Network Ops in Wuxi

China Mobile (NYSE:CHL, 0941.HK), China Telecom (NYSE:CHA, 0728.HK) and China Unicom (NYSE:CHU, 0762.HK, 600050.SH) plan to establish institutes for China's sensor network (also known as the "Internet of Things") in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, reports cww.net.cn.

China Mobile began offering electronic tickets to the 2010 Shanghai World Expo to users in the cities of Beijing, Shanghai and Chongqing and the provinces of Inner Mongolia, Jilin, Zhejiang, Fujian, Hubei, Hunan and Guangdong on November 1, according to another cww.net.cn report. China Mobile customers must use a "special" SIM card, RF-SIM, with a swipe function to be eligible for the service.
