Shanda Games Talks Growth; New Games
Shanda Game (Nasdaq:GAME), Shanda's (Nasdaq:SNDA) recently spun-off game division, currently operates ten games in 48 countries, finet.hk reported citing company CEO Diana Li on November 1. Shanda Games' "18 Fund" expects to invest at least RMB 500 million in a minimum of 40 game projects in the coming three years, Li said. Of the 40 projects, several are preparing to get independently listed, Li said. Li also predicted that China's game industry will grow at an average rate of 18.4% annually in the next five years and that Shanda Games will expand faster than the industry average, the report said.
Shanda Game unveiled its licensed 3D online RPG Tieji Zhengming ('Fighting of Cavalries') November 2, reports qq.com. The game is developed by the same developer behind its licensed MMORPG Legend of Mir.
