Shanghai's Jiading District government has put 11 land parcels up for auction and will not apply the "90/70" requirements that housing of less than 90 square meters must account for at least 70% of a residential project, guandian.cn reported October 30. The parcels up for grabs total 57.55 hectares, 47.39 hectares of which are zoned for residential usage, the report said.

To date, cities including Beijing, Hangzhou, Nanjing and Chengdu have suspended the "90/70" policy that was introduced more than three years ago.
