Rumor: NetEase to Charge for WoW Server Transfers

NetEase (Nasdaq:NTES) plans to release a paid server-transfer service for its licensed 3D MMORPG World of Warcarft (WoW) in early November, with the same fees as charged by WoW former China operator The9 (Nasdaq:NCTY), Donews reports quoting an unnamed insider. NetEase previously offered the service for free to avoid overcrowding WoW server groups, the report said.
