Rumor: Hon Hai Buys RMB 1b Chongqing Site

Unnamed sources report that Hon Hai Group Chairman Terry Gou has purchased a 17,400-square-meter land parcel with commercial development permits in Chongqing for around RMB 1 billion, according to Sina, citing Taiwanese media. The land, which has a gross floor area of 90,000 square meters, may be used for one of Hon Hai's "CyperMart" home appliance and electronics retail chain outlets, the report said.
