Goldwind, CGN Subsidiaries, Sinovel Ink Wind Projects

The Beijing branch of Xinjiang-based wind turbine producer Goldwind Science & Technology (002202.SZ) and China Guangdong Nuclear (CGN) Wind Power, a wholly-owned subsidiary of CGN Power Group, have signed contracts with Shanxi province's Pinglu county to invest a total of RMB 1.5 billion in two wind farm projects, Shanxi Evening News reported August 6. The county currently has 150MW of wind power capacity under construction, said the report.

CGN Energy Development Company, another CGN Power Group subsidiary, has signed a strategic cooperation contract with Beijing-based wind turbine producer Sinovel Wind for a 5GW wind power project, reports In-en.com. CGN Energy Development has 1GW of installed wind power capacity and is expected to reach 1.5GW including projects under construction, said the report. Sinovel now operates more than 2,000 1.5MW wind turbines, the report said.
