Datang in Talks for 20% Stake Sale
Insiders say telecom equipment provider Datang Telecom (600198.SH) may issue new shares to China's National Social Security Fund, worth 20% of its share capital, China Daily reported July 9. The source said that a price tag has yet to be settled but may lie between RMB 2.5-3 billion, and that the funds would be used to pay for equipment production capacity expansion and to increase working capital.
