Huaneng Backs 100MW Mongolia Wind Project

China Huaneng Group's subsidiary Huaneng Renewable Energy has signed with the local government to invest RMB 1.2 billion in a 100MW wind power project in Manzhouli, Inner Mongolia, reports nengyuan.net. The project is expected to cover 46 square kilometers and be constructed in phases between May 2010 and April 2012, after one year of wind tests, starting in May 2009, said the report.
