Solar Stimulus Detailed: FITs, Not Subsidy
China plans to revise policies governing power prices and will not use subsidies in its development plans for photovoltaic power stations, reports Shanghai Securities News quoting Liang Zhipeng, head of the National Energy Administration's New Energy Department. The RMB 20/watt subsidy plan for BIPV and rooftop installations will not apply to photovoltaic power stations, said Liang.
China's installed wind power capacity is expected to grow by more than 8GW in 2009 and reach 100GW by 2020, Liang said.
