Correction: Source: Wal-Mart to Open 1,000 Convenience Stores

Wal-Mart (NYSE:WMT) China plans to open 1,000 convenience stores under the name of "Hui Xuan" within five years, 100 of which will be opened in 2009, reports National Business Daily quoting an unnamed company insider. So far, Wal-Mart has opened three Hui Xuan stores in China, all located in Shenzhen, said the report quoting Wal-Mart China Public Relations Manager Chen Lu.
