Alibaba.com PR Responds to PayPal Rumors
AliExpress, Alibaba.com's (1688.HK) business-to-business platform for international customers, continues to grow and has not run into obstacles, Alibaba.com's PR department said, cnsoftnews.com reports. Alibaba.com has always partnered with Alipay, and will decide whether to adopt other payment tools based on user demands, PR said.
The department was responding to rumors yesterday that Alibaba.com had made a preliminary agreement with eBay (Nasdaq:EBAY) to use eBay's online payment tool PayPal for AliExpress. According to an unnamed source, AliExpress has not been recognized by overseas buyers, because Alibaba.com's online payment tool Alipay is not widely used overseas.
