MLR Gets Tough on Slacking Developers

The Ministry of Land and Resources (MLR) has announced rulings on nine idle land parcels or property projects, guandian.cn reported March 12. Among the publicized decisions, China Resources Land (1109.HK) was told to break ground on its planned Beijing project before March 31, 2010 while China Overseas Land & Investment (COLI) (0688.HK) has been fined for leaving land idle in Changchun, Jilin province and ordered to start construction immediately.
