CDC to Spin Off Games Unit for 2010 IPO

CDC Corporation (Nasdaq:CHINA) intends to spin off its unit CDC Games for a separate listing in 2010, 17173.com reported quoting CDC Games General Manager Sun Jingqing on January 20. CDC Games plans to release between four and six new games in 2010, including a 2D turn-based game, a 2.8D MMORPG and a casual game, said Sun. CDC Games is the parent of Optic Communications, which operates games including MMORPG Shaiya.

CDC Corporation spun off subsidiary CDC Software (Nasdaq:CDCS) for a Nasdaq offering in August 2009.
