MIIT: China's 3G Users Hit 9.77m in Oct
China recorded 9.77 million 3G users by the end of October this year, the China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) announced December 15. Of the total, 3.94 million users subscribe to China Mobile's (NYSE:CHL, 0941.HK) TD-SCDMA services, according to the report. China's three telecom operators -- China Mobile, China Unicom (NYSE:CHU, 0762.HK, 600050.SH) and China Telecom (NYSE:CHA, 0728.HK) had invested a combined RMB102.3 billion in 3G by the end of October, completing 72.3% of the RMB143.5 billion budgeted for 3G investment this year, the report said.
