Tencent, Giant Announce "Green ZT" Co-Op
Tencent (0700.HK) and Giant Interactive (NYSE:GA) jointly announced December 11 that they plan to co-operate a version of the "Green Edition" of Giant's in-house developed 2D MMORPG ZT Online.
Gamers will be able to access the game via QQ IM accounts, and Tencent has released an official site for the game at qqzt.qq.com, said Tencent's official site. Giant Interactive will update the Tencent version in step with the original, making content on both Giant's and Tencent's platforms "entirely the same," said Giant Vice President Ji Xuefeng.
Rumors earlier this month said that Tencent and Giant might co-operate a version of the "Green Edition," which is scheduled to start closed beta on December 18.
