Digital China to Take Charge of BlackBerry Sales

Beijing-based IT solutions provider Digital China Holdings (0861.HK) has signed an agreement with Canada's Research In Motion (RIM) (Nasdaq:RIMM) to distribute BlackBerry handsets in China, TechWeb.com reported December 7.

Previous rumors said that RIM and China Telecom (NYSE:CHA, 0728.HK) were expected to conclude talks over their Blackberry cooperation by the end of the year. RIM has already teamed up with China Mobile (NYSE:CHL, 0941.HK) to offer BlackBerry handsets and mobile email service in China.

Digital China is an integrated IT service provider in China with approximately 9,300 employees as of September 30.
