Kingsoft Hires ex-Tencent Exec for "Powerword"

Chinese software and online game company Kingsoft (3888.HK) has hired former Tencent (0700.HK) User Center Operations Manager Jia Lin as Kingsoft Vice President with responsibility for English-Chinese dictionary software "Powerword" (Ciba) products, Sina reported November 26 citing Kingsoft Powerword Department Brand Manager Li Ming. Li denied a report by qq.com the same day that the department's General Manger Li Wanqiang plans to resign by next February, the report said. An unnamed company insider said that Kingsoft may spin Powerword off as a separate subsidiary for listing on Shenzhen Stock Exchange's ChiNext board, according to the report.
