Shanda CEO: Entertainment's the Limit
Shanda (Nasdaq:SNDA) CEO Chen Tianqiao said the company will not move outside of its focus on the entertainment industry in future but has no plans to offer Internet services such as e-mail or search engines, 163.com reported November 13. Shanda subsidiary Shanda Pictures will be the controlling stakeholder in the recently announced "Shengshi Film" movie production and distribution joint venture with Golden Eagle Broadcasting System. Shanda will appoint a CEO for the JV from among its top management and Danni Long, president of Shanghai-invested music and entertainment company E.E. Media, is expected to become president of the new company, the report said.
