Sohu to Release Online Lottery Platform

Sohu (Nasdaq:SOHU) will cooperate with lottery platform wozhongla.com to release an online lottery sub-channel on November 9, Sohu announced. Visitors to the site can purchase lottery tickets through the channel, which is located within the portal's sports channel.

In December 2007, the Chinese government announced a crackdown on the unauthorized online sales of lottery tickets, including a blanket ban on online sales of lottery tickets.
