Maxthon Founds Largest Browser R&D Center

Beijing-based Internet browser developer Maxthon International has established China's largest browser research and development center in Beijing, company CEO Jeff Chen announced November 9.

The center has an initial investment of more than RMB 2 million (roughly $300,000) and aims to support Maxthon and other Chinese-made browsers and promote domestic webpage security and display, the announcement said. The center currently employs more than 30 R&D professionals and plans to have a staff of 100 in the future.
