Taobao Launches Video Channel at Joy.cn Site

Alibaba's consumer-focused e-commerce site Taobao.com released an online video channel on November 9, Techweb.com reports citing a Sohu user. The site redirects users to a taobao.joy.cn page, where they will view Taobao shopping ads before the requested movie or TV episode, the report said.

Video sites Ku6.com, Tudou.com, 56.com and Youku have signed contracts to provide a paid product display service for Taobao sellers, according to reports in June.
