GCL's Poly Production Spikes in Q3
Hong Kong-based power plant operator GCL-Poly Energy Holdings (3800.HK) produced 1,993 metric tons (MT) of polysilicon in the third quarter of 2009, up 253% year-on-year and 68.9% quarter-on-quarter. In the first three quarters of the year, polysilicon production volume totaled 4,266MT, up 248% from the year-ago period. The company described polysilicon sales in the first three quarters as "satisfactory."
GCL-Poly's polysilicon production is on schedule and is approximately 1,000MT in October.
