Myriad to Establish New R&D Center in Chengdu

European mobile software supplier Myriad (SIX:MYRD) intends to restructure its research & development base in Chengdu, Sichuan province into a new R&D center, Chengdu Daily reported November 3 citing a company announcement. Myriad CEO Simon Wilkinson said that the R&D center will expand from 150 to 220 staff to become the company's largest R&D center globally, and its products would apply to handsets using Google's (Nasdaq:GOOG) Android operating system as well as handsets by Nokia (NYSE:NOK) and other major manufacturers.
