According to Taiwanese media reports, Sohu's (Nasdaq:SOHU) online gaming subsidiary Changyou.com (Nasdaq:CYOU) paid more than RMB 100 million to license 3D martial arts MMORPG Zhonghua Yingxiong from Taiwanese developer Chinese Gamer International Corporation (3083.TW), reports qq.com. Zhonghua Yingxiong has recorded 180,000 peak concurrent users since its August release, according to Chinese Gamer International General Manager Lv Xuesen. The company may partner with Changyou to develop new games in the future, Lv said.

Changyou revealed that it had signed the game for exclusive mainland operation in its third quarter earnings.

Changyou's in-house developed 2.5D MMORPG Tian Long Ba Bu currently generates monthly revenue of RMB 150 million in mainland China, said the report quoting Changyou Chief Operating Officer Chen Dewen.
