Baidu, Qtrax Partner on Music Search
Brilliant Technologies Corporation's (OTC:BLLN) free music download service Qtrax (www.qtrax.com) announced it has secured an agreement with Baidu (Nasdaq:BIDU) over music-related search inquiries in its entertainment portal and Qian Qian Music Online site. Qtrax said has the queried artist or song in its catalogue.
According to a later report by IDG, the deal does not extend to Baidu's main mp3 search page, and a Baidu representative described the partnership with Qtrax as being limited to text-based information, such as singer backgrounds.
