Best Buy to Open 4-5 China Stores In 2010
An unnamed Best Buy (NYSE:BBY) China executive said the company plans to add four to five stores in China in 2010 in regions outside of Shanghai, 21st Century Business Herald reported November 3. Best Buy Asia Pacific Purchasing Director Wei Huazhen said that the company's revenue grew 10% year-on-year in the first nine months of 2009 while the company recorded 30% growth in the third quarter. Best Buy wholly owned subsidiary, Jiangsu-based subsidiary Five Star Home Appliances, also saw 10% growth in the first nine months of this year, according to Wei.
