Cisco to Acquire China Set-Top Box Co for $44.5m

Communications and IT company Cisco Systems (Nasdaq:CSCO) plans to acquire Crystal Cube Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hong Kong-based set-top box provider DVN (Holdings) Limited (0500.HK), for compensation of up to $44.5 billion, DVN Holdings announced October 3. The parties have signed an agreement, and the deal is expected to conclude in the first half of 2010, the announcement said.
