China Mobile: Charging for Apps Nationwide

China Mobile's (NYSE:CHL, 941.HK) "Mobile Market" application store announced November 1 that it will start charging users for game and software downloads nationwide, sina.com reported November 2.

Gao Nianshu, general manager of China Mobile's Data Department, said the Mobile Market has 23,000 developers and offers more than 2,000 applications, according to 163.com.

Several days previously, China Mobile announced, it would start charging Guangdong-based customers for downloads from the store.
