China Unicom to Pre-Sale iPhone on Oct 1
The China Unicom (NYSE:CHU, 0762.HK, 600050.SH) website will begin pre-sales of the Apple (Nasdaq:AAPL) iPhone on October 1, reports Metro Express quoting a September 28 Unicom announcement.
The iPhone will charge RMB 5,999, 6,999 or 7,999 per handset, reports Guangzhou Daily. The handsets must be purchased in combination with 24 months of WCDMA service, the report said. Unicom plans to release the 8GB iPhone in black, and the 16GB and 32GB iPhones in both black and white, according to Metro Express.
