First Solar 2GW Project to Receive RMB 4-6b
The four-phase 2GW solar power plant that U.S.-based module manufacturer First Solar (Nasdaq:FSLR) plans to constrcut in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, will receive total investment between RMB 4 billion and RMB 6 billion, reports nmrb.cn. First Solar Chairman and CEO Michael J. Ahearn visited Ordos on September 19 to discuss details of the project, said the report.
First Solar announced September 8 that it had signed a memorandum of understanding with the Chinese government to build a 2GW solar power plant in Ordos, Inner Mongolia.
