Baidu Unaffected by New Music Regs, Says MoC
Baidu's (Nasdaq:BIDU) mp3 service meets the requirements of China's Ministry of Culture (MoC), has obtained qualifying certificates and received MoC approved as an online music operator, reports Donews quoting MoC Cultural Marketing Department Vice Director Tuo Zuhai.
Reports yesterday cited a recent MoC notice as saying that MoC plans to strengthen its checks into online music content, including problem areas in imported and pirated music, unlicensed links, market behavior and transactions.
