AirMedia Eyes Online Media
Beijing-based out-of-home advertising network operator AirMedia Group (Nasdaq:AMCN) intends to focus more on the online aspect of its advertising networks, China Securities News reported August 25. The company also expects to generate profit from its gas station project in cooperation with China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (Sinopec Corp) (600028.SH, 0386.HK, LSE:SNP) by 2011 at the latest, the report said. AirMedia signed with Sinopec to install scrolling light boxes and other ad media in 3,500 stations by the end of 2011 and at least 8,000 stations before 2015.
