The Beijing Municipal Bureau of Press and Publication (BJPPB) has submitted "Wrath of the Lich King" (WLK), the second expansion of NetEase's (Nasdaq:NTES) licensed 3D MMORPG World of Warcraft (WoW), to the General Administration of Press and Publication (GAPP) and GAPP has formally accepted the application for review, Sohu reports quoting a BJPPB site announcement that journalists discovered Wednesday.

China's Ministry of Culture and BJPPB said in July that they had not start the approval process for "WLK," said the report.

WoW's first expansion, "The Burning Crusade," is currently in closed beta testing while its undergoes government approval. Rumors this week said that the NetEase is facing obstacles in the approval of the version of WoW that it submitted several days ago.
