The9: Alipay in on "WoW" Refunds
Shanghai-based online game company The9 (Nasdaq:NCTY) plans to refund unconsumed prepaid cards and not-yet-delivered security tokens for 3D MMORPG World of Warcraft (WoW) in cash through Alibaba Group's online payment subsidiary Alipay between June 7 and September 7, the company announced on wow.the9.com. The9 will deal with requests within 45 business days, it said.
The9 will also allow gamers to transfer funds from unconsumed prepaid cards and security tokens to designated server groups in The9's other games from June 7 to September 7. The9 will complete requests within three business days, it said.
The9's WoW licensing agreement expired at 12 p.m. on June 7.
