Hainan Sets Solar Subsidy Near National Ceiling
Hainan province intends to provide subsidies of roughly RMB 20/watt for building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) applications in 2009, reports solar-pv.cn quoting a recent government notice. Subsidies may be modified in the future in line with industry development, said the report.
In a document sent to local subsidiaries on April 16, China's Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development announced that subsidies for construction material- and component-based BIPV projects will be set at RMB 20/watt, while subsidies for rooftop- and wall-based projects will be RMB 15/watt.
