Kunming Targets Solar Output of RMB 20B by 2015
Kunming, Yunnan's provincial capital, aims to install solar heating systems in more than 95% of its newly established buildings and raise the local solar industry's total output value to over RMB 20 billion by 2015, reports Sina quoting Kunming Economic Committee Director Chen Hao. The city also plans to build a three-square-kilometer solar industry park in its Gaoxin District, said the report.
Kunming previously announced plans to give each solar company that invests RMB 200 million or more in local projects a grant of RMB 1 million and RMB 500,000 to solar companies that invest RMB 100-200 million.
