Hunan Goes for 1GW With PV Investment
The Hunan government plans to hold a conference to find companies to invest in projects that will bring the province's photovoltaic industry chain up from 200MW to 1GW, reports Xiaoxiang Morning Herald. Hunan plans to attract contracts worth at least RMB 3 billion for a total of RMB 5 billion of investment in more than 40 projects through the conference, which will be held in Shenzhen from May 11 through 15. A government official said the province houses 48 manufacturers with PV research and development capabilities.
