Zhao Sizhang, vice president (VP) of Beijing-based anti-virus software company Rising, is under arrest for bribing Yu Bing, the former head of Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau's Internet Supervision Department, reports World Executive Digest. Yu is being investigated for framing Rising competitor Beijing Micropoint Technology, which was founded by former Rising Managing Director Li Xu in 2005 and later joined by former Rising VP Tian Yakui.

Yu also used falsified data from three anti-virus software companies and a falsified report, from an accounting firm recommended by Rising, claiming a financial loss caused by a Micropoint virus to prove Tian had broken into a computer information system and infringed on commercial secrets.

Due to the complications, Tian spent eleven months in custody and Micropoint postponed the release of its anti-virus software for three years until February 2008. Micropoint plans to request compensation of RMB 30 million for losses related to the software's delay.
