MySpace China CTO Denies Rumors: Not COO, No New WVAS Business

MySpace China Chief Technology Officer Tan Xiaosheng denied that he has taken on a second position as company chief operating officer (COO) during a telephone interview on February 13, reports DoNews. Tan also refuted rumors that MySpace China plans to launch a new wireless value-added services business, saying the company has had a non-core wireless application protocol business since May 2008. The MySpace China board is still looking for a new CEO to replace Luo Chuan, who resigned from the position in late 2008, said Tan.

Rumors last week said that Tan had taken over the position of COO and submitted a new plan to MySpace China to capture revenue from wireless value-added services.
