Travel Search Engine Qunar Found Guilty of Ctrip Content Infringement
Online travel services provider Ctrip.com International, Ltd. (Nasdaq: CTRP) has won its copyright infringement lawsuit against Beijing-based travel search engine Qunar.com in the Beijing Haidian District People's Court, reports Sina. Ctrip brought the suit last November after discovering Qunar.com included links and partial displays of Ctrip user comments in its search results. Qunar.com said its practices were in line with other Chinese search providers and that it does not limit links to Ctrip content.
Qunar.com was asked to pay legal compensation of RMB 1,000, stop infringement within 10 days and post a 24-hour apology on its homepage.
