The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) plans to issue a TD-SCDMA license to China Mobile (NYSE:CHL, 941.HK) on January 7, reports Sina quoting an unnamed "authorized" insider. The insider did not comment on 3G licenses for China Telecom (NYSE:CHA, 728.HK) or China Unicom (NYSE:CHU, 762.HK, 600050.SH).

Other unnamed sources said China Mobile has already received a 3G license, while Unicom and Telecom will get licenses tomorrow, reports Communications Weekly. The three telecos plan to make an announcement tomorrow, said the sources. MIIT spokesman Wang Lijian said he did not have any information on the issue and that MIIT is preparing for the licenses.

China Mobile parent company China Mobile Communications Corporation is designing the logo and slogan of a new promotional campaign focused on corporate clients, "Dong Li 100," to be launched in early 2009, reports Sina.
