PV Plant To Get RMB 9.1B Investment, Solar Power Priced At RMB4/kWh
Yunnan Provincial Power Investment and Yunnan-based Huaneng Lancang River Hydropower have begun construction of a 166MW on-grid photovoltaic experimental power plant in Kunming, Yunnan province, reports In-en.com. One section of the project, a 66MW on-grid plant, will receive investment of RMB 3.58 billion and is expected to start production in 18 months; the second part, a 100MW demonstration line, will begin production in 22 months and receive investment of RMB 5.5 billion, said the report.
The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and National Energy Administration have set the price of on-grid solar power at RMB 4/kWh, reports caixun.com quoting China Renewable Energy Association director Shi Dinghuan on December 6.
